Nothing special
Really good value. I was happy to have pumpkin soup and my husband enjoyed his onion soup. Service was quick and friendly. Spaghetti Carbonara and lasagna both were delicious!
Pleasant ambience. Great pizza, noodle, salad ... everything was delicious. Prices ok. The owner is very accommodating.
Delicious food.
Just always super delicious!
Authentic, tasty Italian cuisine, but the price-performance ratio a bit shifted ... (e.g. beef carpaccio or veal dishes very expensive and served as a mini portion) The "friendliness" of the owner, which has already been mentioned several times, also struck me negatively ... but here one is probably also resistant to advice ...
For me personally one of the best Italian restaurants in the West Palatinate!
Great restaurant with authentic Italian flair.
Oh dear, you have to be very patient here. 25 minutes to order. Another 30 minutes to pay. Food average and the tone of the boss towards poor Sonja very much. takes getting used to. Not recommended for us!
Delicious. Nice terrace
Dish 1: tortellini with ricotta and spinach. Unfortunately, spinach was only the filling. I expected fresh spinach in the sauce. Was not clearly advertised! But I resigned myself to it. In terms of taste, it was ok. It looks different in quantitative terms. Number of tortellini 14 pieces. With bread. I don't know if the bread was deliberately packed to fill you up, but at € 14 for pasta I found the portion size a bit ridiculous. When asked by the waitress whether everything was fine, I addressed this. Response: yes, some only order it as a starter. I found something weak as a reason! Especially if you have ordered nothing more than a side dish of food! Dish 2: Pizza Sophia Loreen. This was among others with fried egg. Unfortunately, in our case including the shell! Size was otherwise okay, taste also ok. The 2nd star is only for drinks! They were as it should be.
Exceptionally good Italian restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine. Many homemade products.Fresh, high quality dishes at slightly higher but justified prices.
Just great, I can only recommend it. We always like to come back. The food was very delicious and presented with love.
Food very good and appetizing. Boss very friendly. Will come back
Warm, friendly, big portions and nice food. Family feel, very chilled.
Outstanding Italian food. Friendly staff, great ambiance and convenient location.
Pleasant ambience and very good spaghetti with shrimp .... I'll be back
Attentive service, good menu with daily changing offers, at reasonable prices. Flawless. Nice ambience. Wine offer is still expandable.
Pizza was way too dry and no taste
The food was descent, not spectacular. The place is clean and the staff is friendly.
Exceptional italian food and they're definitely dont skimp on cheese!
Excellent!
The pizza tasted very good you can not say two stars deduction because the boss personally me a little too snippy is not so friendly
We arrived there by accident and spontaneously. Will come more often now. Great Italian flair, very familiar. So to feel good and the food is delicious and fresh. Prices are totally ok. Keep it up.
I think it's nice, family atmosphere and the food is good. Not cheap but good. Am always happy to be here with friends, besides, I find the outdoor area very nice.
Ok, spot if Gino's happens to be closed.
Absolutely the best pizza ever. Great almoust family place.
Great place, excellent food specially the deserts, wonderful staff, great ambient. Must visit.
Good Italian food
Nice Restaurant with very friendly service. The food was good and tasty.
Pizza is alright I've had better in the area and the price is a bit steep for the portions. The desert is great though.
We went for a holiday dinner, on a Friday night. The establishment is cozy yet elegant and intimate. Some co-workers ordered for us. Caprese salads and then the heavenly pasta dish, tossed in a giant cheese wheel. Absolutely PHENOMENAL. Excellent wine offerings. Definitely will return!
Little Italy in Germany
Food was decent. Customer service was not that great.
Love this place! Feel like going to a spot in Italy.
I love to eat here. Super ambience and very nice service. Very polite and courteous. The food is delicious and really Italian. Great value for money. Best Italian in the area.
Very bad
My first time at Da Maria... great experience and great food!!!
Authentic! Everyone in my family loved their food. We are definitely going back.
I have eaten here several times and the food has always been on point. The pasta is always perfectly al dente, the sauces are delicious and perfectly apportioned to the dish; the pizza thin and crisp the way it should be. Maria and the waitstaff have always been welcoming, barring one time that I felt she was slightly curt. Even so, I will take great Italian cooking with an attitude anytime. No need to take offense, after all she IS Italian!
Love this restaurant! The food and atmosphere are amazing.
Typical Italian restaurant. Food is really beautiful ?
Top
Great food with good service. We ordered bruchetta as an appetizer and we were just given bread. Off of other recommendations I ordered the cheese wheel, the spaghetti comes out from the kitchen separate from the sauce, it is then put in a cheese wheel to get lightly coated in cheese, it then gets added to the sauce and then cheese get shredded from the wheel on top of the pasta. Very flavorful and delicious!
Really fun restaurant with an excellent, authentic Italian menu. Beautiful patio in the summertime.
Great spaghetti, mixed in a giant cheese wheel. Wife server is funny.
Always friendly and delicious.
Review A brief review: Good food, very poor service and attitude from Maria, excellent service and attitude from her daughter? (a younger lady who spoke English very well). Will not come back again. Maybe order carry out. Longer review. We came to Da Maria on a Sat night with a reservation for 10 booked a week in advance for my wife’s surprise birthday dinner. Our party only ended up being 7 so they took one of the small tables from us (which is fine). I failed to mention that I was going to bring a cake when I made a reservation but brought one in when I arrived. I asked Maria if this was ok and she said something briefly to me in German. I told her that I didn’t understand and she said “my English is not good, no one told me about it” and then walked away. She was clearly bothered by it based on her reaction. After being seated, no one gave us menus, as we were waiting for a few more people to show up. Eventually we had to get our own menus from the front table. Eventually, our waitress (who we think if Maria’s daughter) who spoke very good English came to take our drink orders and went over the specials. I explain the cake situation and she was very accommodating and offered to put in the refrigerator in the kitchen. When she took the cake back, it was clear that Maria had some words for our waitress, as we saw the discussion 8 meters away behind the bar. Everyone ordered drinks and food, which came out fairly quick, our waitress check if anyone wanted another beer. Everything progressed smoothly. Our waitress cleared our table when we were done and brought us plates, forks and knives for the cake. I offered Maria and our waitress some cake, but they denied. When we were done eating cake, Maria asked how we were going to pay, I told her by credit card. She then promptly got the check and dropped it off on our table. Our waitress then came back and saw the bill, I asked if we could split it, and she said sure, she went through the bill marking who got what. When she went back to the register we saw again, another lively discussion between Maria and our waitress. Our waitress came back with separate checks and the credit card machine, she kindly processed all our payments and I tipped an extra 10 euros on top of the bill (not common in Germany, but I felt bad for our waitress about the whole cake ordeal and she was wonderful). After we paid, my stomach was hurting, so I went to the bathroom, a few minutes later I hear a loud knocking on the door. I come out and no one is there, I then go back to the table and I can see that my wife is upset, she said that Maria came to her and said “Your man has been in there for 10 minutes” and then proceeds to knock very loudly on the door. She was also speaking rapidly German to our waitress and one of our guest who understands German told us that Maria wanted us out of the restaurant so that she can have the tables and said that our table was very messy. When I compared our table to others, it was no different from other guests and there was no one waiting at the door with two other empty tables in the restaurant. I am not sure why Maria was in a rush to have us out of the restaurant. We have dined all over Europe and I have seen all types of customer service from different European countries, I understand cultural differences but none of them have been as rude as Maria. My wife ended up being very upset with the way we were treated and did not have a nice birthday dinner for 65 euros with tip. We had our 2.5 year old toddler with us as well, who was playing with another toddler that was dining there as well. The other family with a toddler was clearly treated differently than we were. You have been warned. Stay away from Maria or don’t go when she is there. Very disappointed.
First time to Europe, everything was amazing here.
Nice place, nice people! Will be back for sure.
